Help us make a difference.

Looking to volunteer?

We have plenty of opportunities for you to get involved;

  • Volunteer at Public Garden Hours (Saturday morning, 9am - 1pm @ Tracy City Community Garden)

  • Community Service Hours

  • TN Achieves Volunteer Hours

  • Native Plant Research

  • Food Distribution Drivers

  • Workshop Assistants

  • Youth Education Workshops

Use the Contact Us form to let us know what you’re interested in, and we’ll follow up with some first steps!

Growing Roots holds facilitated Volunteering Onboarding Workshops semi-annually, which gives new volunteers the opportunity to meet other members of the Roots community, and provides insight into our structures on horizontal leadership and the collaborative decision-making process.

Each Onboarding Workshop also gives opportunity for group discussion to identify methods of self-care and group caretaking in volunteerism.

Be a Workshop Lead

Have a skill that you want to share with Growing Roots? Lead a workshop! If you’ve already got a workshop in mind, we can help facilitate access for participants. If you aren’t quite sure about the details, we are happy to work with you to build and format programming.
